Our corporate service teams include:

  • HR and recruitment – making sure we attract, train and look after the best people to work for United Response
  • IT – keeping our colleagues connected and working efficiently, with good infrastructure, systems and devices, including mobile phones for all staff
  • Finance – administering and measuring the charity’s money, and that of the people supported by United Response
  • Practice Development and Quality – making sure we deliver the very best support, and keep everyone safe and well
  • Communications, PR and public policy – telling more people about the brilliant work of United Response, and lobbying for change around issues that impact people with learning disabilities and autism.
  • Fundraising – attracting donations from individuals and organisations, plus helping people take part in challenges on behalf of United Response
  • Project management – making sure we deliver projects to change the way we work in a reliable, efficient way.

United Response’s headquarters are a stone’s throw from East Croydon train station, in south London.

Increasingly, central services roles are also spread around the country with colleagues working in hybrid patterns and visiting area offices, services and HQ as and when needed.

Back-office functions around the country

United Response operate in around 300 locations around the country, from Cornwall to Suffolk, in South Wales and up to Newcastle. As well as the central functions described above, many area offices employ people in administrative and bookkeeping roles.
