The role of a Support Worker / Sports Enabler
At ROC Active, we focus on delivering high-quality, person-centred support through active and engaging sessions that promote physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. As a Support Worker / Sports Enabler, your role is all about helping people with learning disabilities to take part in physical activities, sports, and community-based sessions that improve their confidence and quality of life.
You will:

Support individuals to participate in sports, exercise, and recreational activities

Encourage and enable people to try new physical challenges and set personal goals

Help with the planning and running of group sessions and community outings

Promote independence, inclusion, and positive wellbeing through active support

Work flexibly across different settings, including indoor and outdoor environments

Access to your own transport is desirable due to the variety of session locations across Torbay and the surrounding areas.
Your pay and benefits

£12.40 per hour

20 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Extra 12.7% pay for relief staff (in place of paid holiday) for relief only
