You and your role

Our aim is to give the people you will be supporting as much control over their own lives as possible.

We are looking for someone who will help enable the people we support to make life happen and do the things they love to do. To be a great Support Worker you should be a compassionate individual with the ability to adapt to the needs of the people we support. You should combine a genuine passion for helping others with a warm, friendly and encouraging personality to ensure that the people we support remain at the centre of everything you do. Previous experience of working within social care would be a bonus but not essential.

On a daily basis, you may be involved in supporting with the following activities:

  • Helping with jobs around the house
  • Accompanying the people we support in the community
  • Assisting with personal finances
  • Promoting independence amongst the people we support where possible
  • Attending appointments
  • Supporting service users with complex health needs
