Location: Teddington

Are you looking for your way to make a difference?

Are looking to start in a new role and get that love for work back? Then this could be the place for you!

United Response is looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our supported living service in Teddington as a Relief Support Worker.

Please note we do not offer sponsorship.

The service

Come and support three adults in their early 30’s to do all the things they love to do, as well as those they need to do! Being in their thirties life is all about fun! From days out in the community at the hydrotherapy pool, baking cakes, playing games and lots of dancing and parties along the way!

You

You’ll be glad to know that experience is by no means essential, we are more interested in finding people with the right values and a determination to positively impact the lives of others. If you can combine enthusiasm, a willingness to learn and the ability to work as a team you are good to go! Autism knowledge can be picked up quickly and this will be covered in your induction. To ensure that the people we support can access the community in all the ways they want, holding a UK drivers licence would be desirable.

The job

The role of Relief Support Worker is massively rewarding and varied but you can expect to:

  • Provide active support
  • Encourage the people we support to be as independent as possible
  • Accompany the people we support in the community
  • Maintain a fun and person-centred environment
  • Assist with jobs around the house
  • Help manage and plan routines
  • Personal Care

Pay and benefits

On top of the opportunity to be part of a leading national disability charity and fantastic training opportunities, you will receive:

  • £13.15 per hour
  • 20 days annual leave plus 8 bank holidays (increases after 3 and 5 years service)
  • Pension contribution
  • Access to free occupational health, physiotherapy, counselling and advice services
  • Fully paid training and access to nationally recognised qualifications
  • Travel to work scheme (season ticket loan)
  • Access to an online shopping platform with discounts from over 3,500 retailers

Please note this role will involve elements of evening, weekend, bank holiday work and sleep-ins so flexibility is essential.

The successful applicant will be subject to a full DBS check.

We reserve the right to close this vacancy early.
