United Response is seeking a Positive Behaviour Support Practitioner to join our Quality & Practice Team.  Do you have the knowledge and experience to train, motivate, and coach teams to embed and sustain Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) across our services, including those within the Transforming Care agenda?

The role involves conducting functional assessments and leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of PBS plans to enhance quality of life. You will promote accessible PBS practices, build team competence, and deliver training, workshops, and debrief sessions.

What we’re looking for:

We are looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) practitioner with a formal PBS-related qualification (e.g., BTEC Diploma in PBS, BSc in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities, Applied Behaviour Analysis or equivalent). You will have extensive experience supporting people with Learning Disabilities and/or Autism who display behaviours of concern, including completing behavioural assessments within a PBS framework and reducing the use of restrictive practices.

You will have strong knowledge of PBS principles and related evidence-based approaches such as Active Support, Person-Centred Planning and Total Communication. Experience working with multi-disciplinary teams is essential, alongside the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and external professionals.

You will be confident working independently, providing clear advice and guidance, and may have experience delivering training, facilitating practice, coaching teams, or leading debriefs.

A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally is required.

Desirable: Certification with UKBACert or UK-SBA (or working towards).
