United Response is seeking an Innovation Manager toLead and embed service design approaches by working collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation and the people we support to co-create innovative, person-centred services. You will identify emerging needs, develop creative and practical solutions, and shape opportunities for sustainable growth. The role also involves building and maintaining strong relationships with commissioners, funders, and external partners to influence service design, drive innovation, and support continuous service improvement.
What we’re looking for:
You will bring strong experience in service design and innovation within social care, community or not-for-profit settings, with a good understanding of commissioning, public sector procurement and lived-experience co-production. You’ll have sound knowledge of supporting people with disabilities, excellent project management and business case skills, and the ability to use research and market insight to design high-quality, sustainable services that embed social value.
You’ll be a confident, values-led leader who can provide clear direction, motivate teams, and influence stakeholders at senior level. Strong communication, negotiation and decision-making skills are essential, along with the ability to manage competing priorities, resources and change in fast-paced, sometimes ambiguous environments.
