A Support Worker’s Job

The role of a Support Worker is a wide and varying one that includes:

  • Supporting with jobs around the house
  • Creating and planning different activity sessions
  • Supporting the people we support in the community
  • Understanding what support the different people we support require
  • Personal care
  • Encouraging independence amongst the people we support where possible

As some of the people we support require a high level of care we need people with patience and empathy. Support Worker pay and benefits

Please note this role will involve elements of evening, weekend and bank holiday work as well so flexibility is essential. You will not be required to work sleep in’s for this role. The successful applicant will be subject to a full DBS check to cost to be met by United Response.
