Purpose of the role:

As a Business Intelligence Analyst, you’ll join our Data & BI team, helping turn data into clear, reliable and accessible insight that supports decision-making across the organisation.

Working alongside the Business Intelligence Lead, you’ll contribute to the development and maintenance ofreports, dashboards and datasets, using tools such as Power BI and SQL. You’ll work with data from a range of systems, supporting reporting, data analysis, troubleshooting and data quality activities.

You’ll also contribute to Data Foundations, testing and reporting requirements, while helping to improve data consistency, documentation, knowledge sharing and confidence in using reporting tools.

This is a great opportunity to develop your technical BI skills while making a real difference to how our organisation uses data.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Hands-on experience using Power BI to create reports and dashboards, gained through work, study or personal projects.
• Basic SQL knowledge and an understanding of data structures, relationships and report design.
• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to check data and reporting outputs for accuracy.
• Good communication skills and the ability to work confidently with both technical and non-technical colleagues.
• Strong problem-solving and organisational skills, with the ability to manage your workload and know when to seek support.
• A willingness to learn, develop and respond positively to feedback.
• A collaborative, person-centred approach and commitment to United Response’s values and mission.

Desirable: Experience in the charity, care or education sector, or exposure to Power BI Service, dataflows, shared datasets, data warehouses or data governance.
